Credit reference agencies

There are three credit reference agencies in the UK. The information they hold includes details of the electoral register, court judgments, bankruptcies and your current and past credit commitments.

You are entitled to see the information the agencies hold about you. You can make a request online paying by credit card, or by writing to the address shown below, showing the details below :-

  • Your full name
  • Your date of birth
  • Your addresses over the last 6 years.

Experian
www.experian.co.uk – go to 'consumer advice', then 'order your credit report'. This report will cost you £2 to produce.
